Neat Acoustics today confirmed that the Neat Momentum range is to be upgraded to the Momentum SX and that new top-of-the-range Momentum SX7 would be added.

The success of the Motive SX models has prompted some development of the existing Momentums. The new versions feature improved crossovers and the new SXT-A1 tweeter. There is also an optional solid slate plinth for the SX5, which can be supplied with the speakers or fitted later. The new model is named the Momentum SX7. It uses dual isobarically loaded Bass/Mid sections to reduce excursion and hence lower distortion and increase dynamic headroom. It will be supplied with a heavyweight solid slate plinth as standard.

The SX3 and SX5 will be shipping in July. The SX7 will be available in September.

UK Prices for the Momentum SX3 and SX5 are confirmed at £2485.00 and £3785.00 per pair respectively. The additional slate plinth for the SX5 will cost £399.00 per pair and will also retro-fit to existing Momentum 4i speakers. The SX7 price is not yet confirmed but it's expected to be in the region of £5700.00 per pair.
