Chord Super Aray...The Second Coming

We've just spent an enlightening day with Matt from Chord, who kindly pitched up with a bag full of the new Sarum Super Aray cables...

As big fans of the original Tuned Aray range, we were intrigued to see just how much more these new cables could possibly give. We got our answer within seconds of the first new cable going into the system, which brought a whole new level of poise and an uncanny sense of 'touch' to the music. 

Both Tuned, and now Super Aray are quite unlike a conventional cable upgrade, and their effect does not lend itself to typical 'hi-fi' descriptions. To my ears, they just allow a system to fully let it's hair down and communicate the unbridled  joy and energy of a performance in an utterly natural way.

Two further pleasant surprises were achieved by completing the cable loom with the new Signature Reference loudspeaker cables......and introducing Silent Mounts under the loudspeaker spikes, which seem to break some invisible tethers and float the music from the speakers.

With a full Super Aray loom installed, the session ended on a high with us all nodding our heads and grinning insanely to Vivaldi. Thank you Matt, your work here is done.

Don't even try to figure out how, but Nigel at Chord has done it again. Sarum Tuned Aray was a revelation and the first 'high end' cable to stop us in our tracks. Nigel's encore is as big a step again. Firmly Recommended and on permanent demonstration.
