We spent a fantastic afternoon yesterday at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Lord March who owns Goodwood is a proud Naim Supernait owner and it was a real treat to experience many other fine, high performance examples of the best of British engineering in action.
Looks like my next company car is just going to have to be the Lotus Exige we saw, seeing as it comes in the most fetching shade of our corporate colour. The good news is that I'll never be late for an installation, the downside is that I'll only be able to squeeze in a cable or two and the odd remote control...
You can read the full interview with Lord March in Naim's Connection Newsletter. Now, I really must return the favour and invite Lord March back to mine for the next Festival of Sound.

If there are any other fellow petrol heads out there who fancy a Tom Tom Club day out to a similar event please let us know and we'll see what we can organise
Exige sounds good James ....question is: would you be any more successful at getting in and out than I was when I tried one? (Getting out involved crawling on my hands and knees)
Bit of a last minute decision but I'm just back from the Silverstone Classic. I missed Friday which had Mike and the Mechanics providing the evening concert but got to see some great cars (seventeen F40s parked in a row!), some great racing and Snakecharmer followed by Adam Ant in the evening. So not the greatest concert ever but great fun and enough for me to dust off my Adam and the Ants CD.
So motorsport, photographic opportunities and a couple of concerts ...maybe a possibility for a get together next year?
Some photos (well heck I've go to bore somebody with them!)
....oh and one of Adam's drummers exercising her Tom Toms (..... in the interests of decorum I've omitted photos of his backing singer who, one suspects, was not picked entirely for her vocal talents!)
Would you believe I was there on the Friday Martin and thanks for the great photos. How was the weather for you?
Cheers
James
Weather on the Saturday started fair and just got better and better....the Group Cs racing at dusk were really evocative (shame the Sik Cut Jags didn't make an appearance this year). Still that's probably my one good weather day at Silverstone over and done with for a decade.
......current plan is to return for the Silverstone Le Mans Series 6 hour on the August Bank Holiday Sunday. Rain pretty much guaranteed (the other year it rained so much that the safety car was almost on for a podium finish)
