Studying in the UK in the late 70's early 80's I came across the magical pairing of the Linn LP 12 and Naim amplification, Linn Isobariks or Sara's. Duly arrived back in South Africa with an LP 12, Ittok/ Asak under my arm. Then talked my mum into bringing back to SA a Naim 42 /110 combination from Seven Oaks. Couldnt stretch to the Sara's so ended up with Boston Acoustics. In the interim, parted with the LP12 to fund further studies and went the silver disc route. Fast forward to 2003, holiday in the UK with my Naim 42 /110 tucked under my arm. James of Tom Tom suggested trading in my 42 and upgrade to a Nac 72 plus HighCap, then suggested I take the 110 to Salisbury for a service and upgrade to a Nap 140. Brilliant service from Naim who did it all for me in a couple of days. Back to SA to enjoy my music again. Upgradeitis struck again, fast forward to 2011, another holiday in the UK, smitten by the NDX and upgraded the Nac 140 to Nap 250 now feeding Linn Majik 140s. Really enjoying my music again, however, either a 282 or 52 with supercap is bekoning when next over in the UK. Watching how the Naim brand and Tom Tom have grown over the years has been brilliant, well done!!!
