Naim Ovator - Can You Handle the Truth?

The Truth is that the Naim Ovators are probably the most honest loudspeakers that you are ever going to hear on the end of a Naim system, but the question is ... can you handle the truth?

Ovators tell you everything: how well balanced your system is and how well it's been set up, they fully demonstrate exactly what your system is actually capable of.

The Ovators are an open book, they just can't help but wear their hearts on their sleeves. Don't expect them to sweeten things up, roll things off, or make a bad recording more palatable, because it’s not what they are designed to do.

If you want to feel the full emotional impact of a performance, understand the true meaning of a piece of music, and hear the authentic sound of an instrument or voice, then Ovators are exactly the right tools for the job.

By design Ovators are truly ground-breaking and practically achieve the theoretical ideal of a single driver covering the full frequency spectrum.

Engineered to only cross over in the bass region, where the ear is far less sensitive, they have a coherence that you rarely find with any loudspeaker.

This coherence allows the Ovators to simply disappear, leaving just live, tangible music to fill the room.

The Ovators are not for the faint hearted, their honesty and impact is simply startling; their musical presence demands your full attention.

You need to approach the Ovators with an open mind, and if you do so they will repay you with a level of musical engagement that is utterly unique and addictive.

The Ovators will deliver the most intense aural stimulation on the end of a Naim system. The only current range of loudspeakers in the world, designed by Naim themselves, to work perfectly with Naim electronics.

Factor in their incredible value for money, and that they compete sonically with speakers at over twice the price, then surely you owe it to yourself to audition a pair whist you can.

They are certainly not a 'plug and play' loudspeaker, even small variations in position can have a dramatic effect on their performance, but take the time (or even better still let your experienced dealer do so) and you will be rewarded with one of the most extraordinary aural experiences you will ever encounter with domestic hi-fi.

True genius is often misunderstood and this is certainly true with the Ovators.

They may polarise opinion like no other loudspeakers, but then that’s nothing new as Naim loudspeakers have always been controversial, and who wants to run with the rest of the herd anyway?

Don’t you owe it to yourself to find out what the truth is, it could change the way you listen forever.

So if you own a Naim system you need to stop and ask yourself this one questions.

 Can you handle the truth?

The Ovators certainly open a wide window on whatever music is played through them. At the price point they are offered at, they are very hard to beat. I lived with the S600s for 5 years and enjoyed them immensely, so am sad to see Naim discontinue this innovative and rather special speaker.
