My mainly NAIM system has grown from it's original, by accident entry in to NAIN land of 12s/NAP160.
This 1989 purchase of a new LP12 had blown the budget for new Arcam pre/power combo,. So we had to "make do" with the NAIM and LP12 /basic arm and cart, into AR8 speakers. Incidently these items were the last new pieces of kit I have bought.
A SNAPS, NAC 42,NAC32.5, Ittok LVII (black), Adikt cart, then on to Olive kit :-NAP 140, NAC72,Hi-Cap until the system of to-day:-
Just out of view LP12, Cirkus, Ittok LVii Dynavector 17 D2. On a Target type shelf
LHS stack:-
NAIM CDSII ,Dynavector P75 phono Dr T settings/RA PSU, Linn Lingo 2, NAC 250
RHS stack:-
NAC 82, space now has DIY DAC, then NAIM XPS , NAIM Supercap
Feeding Black SBLs via 10m of NACA5 .
I also have a NAIT , the 42 is still around, and the lad has a NAIT 5.
My S/H buying has caused me to prostitute myself to various dealers, 82 from James, 250 and TT maintenance Cymbiosis, SC from a friend ,SBLs from e-bay. NAIT from AudioT(Jeffries) Brighton.
I have to thanks wife Sally who's "fault" it is that I have this addiction to NAIM, she said the LP12 sounded so much better than all the other TTs we had auditioned.
